why nothing is priced here

A sofa from Cabiate is a stack of decisions: the composition, the cover and its grade, the filling, the finish on the structure, the feet. Printing one number against the family name would price a sofa nobody ordered.

The quote prices the one you did order. It names every choice, puts the figure under them and holds for the period written on it.
